A message from Nick Timothy MP:
“At this time of Remembrance, it is right that we pause to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who served our country in times of war and conflict.
“Across West Suffolk — in all the towns and villages — residents have come out in huge numbers to pay their respects.

“I was honoured to join servicemen and women and representatives of community organisations and other political parties at Remembrance ceremonies on Sunday 9 November 2025 in Mildenhall and Newmarket, and attended the moving ceremony in Haverhill last year.
“The bravery of our servicemen and women secured the freedoms we enjoy today. It is our duty to remember not only those who gave their lives, but also the veterans and families who continue to bear the burden of service.
“At a time when our social bonds can feel strained and our shared purpose tested, Remembrance reminds us of the values that bind us together — sacrifice, courage, and gratitude.”
