In a letter to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Nick Timothy MP has slammed business rate increases which will push devastating extra taxes on racing training yards here in West Suffolk and beyond.
As a result of the Government’s decision to exclude horse racing from business rates relief, trainers face punishing tax increases of up to 70 per cent over the next few years.
This poses a mortal threat to local jobs and livelihoods. Despite the recent victory we had in stopping the Racing Tax, Labour are still taxing British success stories out of existence.
This decision must be reversed immediately.
