The start of a new school year should be an exciting time for children and families. But I know it can also place significant pressure on household budgets, with the cost of uniforms, shoes and stationery quickly adding up.

Researchers say parents spend an average of £225 per child on back-to-school essentials and I want to hear about your experiences of preparing for the new school year.
