The Environment Agency bureaucracy often causes companies to go bust but I helped protect Nybolt’s battery plant. I also campaigned the Environment Agency to get the needed permit for Nyobolt, a local clean technology company, to start making its exciting new battery-charging technology here in West Suffolk and thus helping to secure jobs for our area.
This is also a great time to congratulate Nyobolt Limited, which is revolutionising energy storage through ultra-fast charging battery technology and has a local manufacturing plant, won the ‘Sustainability Champion’ award at the 35th Business Weekly Awards in Cambridge.

I would also like to celebrates arrival of new drone factory in Mildenhall as the biggest drone manufacturer in Ukraine – Ukrspecsystems – is investing in Suffolk, opening a factory and creating 500 jobs directly and in the supply chain.
Nick Timothy MP celebrated this news in Parliament on 3 November 2025, and asked the Defence Minister to challenge his colleagues in government to cut energy costs and business taxes — so we can have more good industrial jobs and a stronger defence industry.
“This is fantastic news for Mildenhall and for all of West Suffolk”, said Nick.
