West Suffolk District Council has published Nick Timothy MP’s submission arguing for a new relief road as the council considers a planning application to build around 1,000 additional dwellings in the West of Mildenhall, just off West Row Road.

The relief road is necessary to protect the quality of life for residents, as is more investment in roads to keep vehicles moving, to get the freight off the roads and onto railways and traffic calming to protect safety.

If you would like to read the submission, please see below. Below that you can also see the letter that Nick Timothy MP wrote to the applicant, Suffolk County Council, about this in November 2024.
