On 18 June 2025, Nick Timothy MP responded to the Government on behalf of the Opposition during a Westminster Hall debate on the future of the gas grid.
He said: “We are importing oil and gas from Norway, from the very same sea bed we could exploit – while insisting we are too good, too green, to do that ourselves.”
Mr Timothy pointed out that this is the mad world of Ed Miliband and Net Zero.
