At the start of this week, Labour made Andy Burnham their Leader and the country’s Prime Minister. He was previously the Mayor of Greater Manchester and only just returned to Parliament in the recent Makerfield by-election. In his first days, he has promoted Ed Miliband to become Foreign Secretary, announced a cut in VAT on electricity bills and restored the £2 cap on bus travel introduced by the Conservatives but abandoned by Keir Starmer. These policies have not been funded, however, and with a Budget coming in the Autumn, tax rises loom. Please take two minutes to share your thoughts.
