Nick writes to Suffolk County Council following cancellation of crucial bus route

The cancellation of the number 11 bus from Newmarket and Exning to Cambridge City Centre was hugely disappointing.

It means residents in Studlands and Exning no longer have a direct bus route into Cambridge.

Residents — including vulnerable and elderly people — are being unfairly cut off, and without proper consultation or warning. This is wrong.

On 11 June 2025, Nick Timothy MP have written to Suffolk County Council (SCC) to back the Town Council’s bid for bus service improvement funding and requested that SCC work pro-actively with providers to enhance transport coverage for Studlands and Exning.
