Nick Timothy, MP for West Suffolk, has written to the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero to challenge the decision-making process that led to consent for the huge Sunnica solar and battery farm near Newmarket and Mildenhall.
His letter comes after Ed Miliband, the Cabinet Minister responsible, overturned a detailed expert opinion recommending the project be refused in the space of three days just after the General Election in July 2024.
It comes after the stonewalling by ministers of Nick’s written parliamentary questions in July 2025 about the propriety of the process relating to Mr Miliband’s appalling decision to green-light the Sunnica application.
