Nick Timothy, MP for West Suffolk, paid tribute to the ‘dedicated and outstanding’ team at Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT) who are working hard to help people facing mental health challenges.
He thanked the staff — and heard more about their work — when he visited the Community Mental Health Centre at Newmarket Hospital on Friday 26 September 2025.
Dr Faisil Sethi, Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NSFT, led the way in describing how the staff aim to integrate the treatment of physical and mental health.
The NSFT team provides care to residents across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Commenting Nick said: “Demand for mental health care is rising sharply. The need for high-quality treatment could not be more pressing. The excellent and impressive team at NSFT are doing a sterling job helping people face these challenges, whether it is bereavement, addiction concerns, isolation, anxiety or stress.”
“The staff have a professional approach and provide first-class treatment. With the benefit of the intelligent and experienced leadership of Dr Sethi, the team works closely together to support people of all ages — acting in cooperation too with a number of brilliant community organisations.”
