Building battery energy storage sites and trying to deal with the safety questions later is reckless and dangerous. And, apart from the safety risks, solar is unreliable and expensive. It’s often built with slave labour and leaves us at the mercy of China. And it is four times more carbon intensive than nuclear. It’s ideological idiocy. On Thursday 5 June 2025, Nick Timothy MP led the Conservative response from the front bench in the House of Commons.
