Nick Timothy MP has written to the Government challenging their plans for gambling affordability checks, which pose a serious threat to British horseracing – including businesses and jobs right here in West Suffolk.
The evidence base for these checks is weak, the data unreliable, and many punters are already moving to unregulated illegal gambling sites where they have no protections at all.
He is calling on the Department to take back control of this process from the Gambling Commission and protect a great British sport before it is too late.
