Few experiences are as profound or distressing as the pain of losing a baby.
During Baby Loss Awareness Week (9–15 October), Nick Timothy MP attended a Ribbon Display in Clare, organised by volunteers from the charity West Suffolk Sands, Kira Large and Isobel Ewing. This remarkable organisation was founded by bereaved parents to support others who have experienced similar loss.
“The display was a deeply moving tribute, and a poignant reminder of the grief and pain associated with pregnancy and baby loss,” said Nick. “Thank you to the volunteers at West Suffolk Sands for their hard work on this very important issue.”

Throughout the week, the charity held a number of thoughtful events across our area — e.g at Bury Cathedral, below — and is seeking a suitable location in West Suffolk for a memorial bench.
