The roads and railways are a regular feature of Nick Timothy MP’s correspondence with residents.

Mr Timothy has asked Parliamentary questions about improving our connections to Cambridge and Ipswich, and joined other local MPs to demand the upgrades to Ely and Haughley junctions, which will help us to get more freight off roads and onto the railways.

He has been in touch with Greater Anglia to to ask whether Newmarket residents might expect to see a half hourly service to Cambridge and Ipswich from Newmarket and to ask what is the latest on progress with dualling of the line.

Mr Timothy has also written to Greater Anglia to make the case for more trains to stop at Kennett and Newmarket stations. Please see his letter to Greater Anglia regarding Kennett station, dated 3 May 2025, below.
