In late June 2025, BBC Radio Suffolk reported on Nick Timothy MP’s question in the House of Commons to the Foreign Secretary about the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
He asked David Lammy what it said to Britain’s allies, and to our enemies, that neither he nor the Prime Minister had been able to bring themselves to say that the strikes again Iran were right and legal.
Mr Lammy continued to avoid giving a position — suggesting the Government is afraid of left-wing lawyers and Labour’s own voters.
