Important reply from Environment Agency to Nick Timothy MP on bio-digester flood risk

Nick Timothy MP is standing strong with residents in opposing the planning application for a bio-digestion facility at Spring Grove Farm near Haverhill and Withersfield.

In December 2025, he called on the Environment Agency to revive their objection to the proposal on the basis that the application would worsen the local flood risk.The application was rejected by Suffolk County Council in June 2025 (to read more, please click here). However, the applicant, Acorn, may re-submit the application or it is possible the appeal was lodged before the deadline but we have not been told yet. We must do all we can to stop this application being approved.
