A message from Nick Timothy MP:
Thank you to everyone who has completed my survey on support for veterans.
A clear majority said there is not enough help available for those leaving the Armed Forces. The top priority identified – chosen by 55% of respondents – was better provision for mental health and wellbeing. This echoes what many veterans and their families tell me.
There is still time to have your say.
If you or a family member has served, please complete the survey by clicking here.
You can see below a summary of the results so far.
Best wishes

- Have you or a member of your family ever served in the armed forces? 90% of respondents said yes.

2. Do you think the UK does enough to support veterans after they leave service?

3. Which area do you think most needs improvement for veterans? Mental health and wellbeing support was chosen by 55% while the next highest choice was housing and accommodation with around 25%.

4. Would you support more local initiatives to employ or involve veterans in community projects?

5. Do you think it is right that veterans can still be prosecuted for alleged offences committed during their time in service, sometimes many years later?
