Should Britain Ban the Burqa and Niqab?

The recent sight of the Archbishop of Canterbury presenting a Church of England award alongside a woman wearing a niqab has renewed debate about religious face coverings in Britain.

The niqab covers the face but leaves the eyes visible, while the burqa covers the entire body and face, including the eyes with a mesh screen.

Supporters argue that these garments are a matter of religious freedom and personal choice, while critics view them as oppressive and a barrier to identification and social interaction.

So I want to know whether you believe the burqa and niqab should be permitted or banned in some or all public places.
